Flood for the Famine, project of songwriter and producer Alex Lindner, has its roots in folk and blues but pulls in everything from ambient to trip-hop, dragging it all into the 21st century. With warm synths, big guitar solos, and songwriting that verges from intimate storytelling to raw howling, comparisons have run from Hozier to James Blake, but Flood for the Famine are after a space of their own.

With an acclaimed debut EP released last year and a second due to be released this summer, Flood for the Famine are definitely ones to watch.
