Leeds is a great place to be whilst celebrating Bonfire Night. The entire place gets right behind the celebration, hosting a huge range of Guy Fawkes inspired soirees across the surrounding area. It's not all on November 5th either with events being held across the entire week.
This year, the ciuty hosts no less than six Bonfire nights - Roundhay Park is perhaps the biggest and most elaborate, with somewhere in the region of 70,000 expected to attend.
Bramley Park, East End Park, Middleton Park, Woodhouse Moor and Springhead Park in Rothwell likewise hold community Guy Fawkes events, with bonfires lit at 7pm followed by fireworks at 7:30pm. There's also a Boombox Circus Fireworks Party at Beaver Works with an added rave up for the adults.
