CLOUDSPOTTING 10TH BIRTHDAY ON HOLD

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the cancellation of this year's Cloudspotting Music and Arts Festival -- due to take place on the weekend of June 19-21st at Gisburn Forest -- as a direct result of the ongoing coronavirus outbreak.

With Gisburn Forest currently closed to the public and the government restrictions on gatherings not expected to be lifted in the immediate future, we feel the sensible course of action is to delay the staging of the Festival, which was due to be a significant occasion for us, our 10th Birthday event.

We have been in touch with all artists, artist representatives, producers, funders, traders our production team and volunteers. We will hopefully be able to honour the vast majority of our artist bookings for 2021; albeit it is a little early for some of them to commit to the new date.

Cloudspotting's 10th Birthday will now take place on the weekend of June 18 / 19 / 20 (2021).

The 10th Cloudspotting Music and Arts Festival takes place at the Gisburn Forest Hub on June 18th-20th, 2021.

Our award-winning ‘micro’ festival (winner of ‘Best Small Event’ in the 2017 Lancashire Tourism Awards) is renowned for its DIY ethos and the incredible friendliness of our audience, staff and volunteers.   We are proud to present a music and arts programme that crosses borders and encourages participation; championing ingenuity, independence and a DIY spirit.

Cloudspotting is a welcoming festival and community – a back-to-nature experience for a few hundred people, making it the ideal event for first-time young festival-going families, or the more seasoned reveller who is jaded with the trappings of the larger UK festival scene.

The alchemy of our audience, artists and the pristine environment of Gisburn Forest combines for a magical atmosphere that is rarely felt at larger festivals.

Acts who have graced the stage in recent years include The Earlies, Ezra Furman, The Leisure Society, King Creosote, Cate Le Bon, This Is The Kit, Melt Yourself Down and John Bramwell.

This year’s line-up is a truly international affair, celebrating a diversity of music genres and outdoor arts activities.  We are please to welcome: Bill Ryder-Jones, Jeffrey Lewis and Los Bolts (US), The Breath, ICHI (Japan), The Burning Hell (Canada), Isaac Birituro (Ghana), Honeyfeet, Alabaster DePlume, Leafcutter John, Mikey Kenney and many more.

Our intimate festival also includes a full weekend of family arts activities in our forest location including walking trails / music workshops / yoga sessions and much more.

Come and join us.  Put life on pause.
