Just 7 miles from Bristol, Tyntesfield is home to a Victorian Gothic mansion, woodland trails, wildflower meadows, a working kitchen garden, 3 outdoor play areas, 2 cafes, and a shop. It can now add ‘outdoor music venue’ to that list, with two huge events taking place this summer. Set in the estate’s stunning grounds, and with a back drop of the rolling Somerset countryside, this will be a unique chance to enjoy a variety of exciting music in a beautiful setting.
During the day the festival is free and will be showcasing amazing upcoming bands, Bristol based performers and artist from further afield.
At night we have two very exciting headline acts:
Friday 14th August 2015: 7.00pm Doors
The Stranglers first rose to prominence during the 1970s’ UK punk explosion, and have since reached legendary status. They have remained at the top of the game, shifting their style into ever-more melodic shapes and arrive at Tyntesfield more popular than ever.
With classics such as 'Golden Brown' and exciting new material promised, this will be a night that sure to shake the Victorian Gothic estate to its core.
Saturday 15th July 2015: 7.00pm Doors
Winner of BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards in 2014, westcountry folk singer, songwriter and multi- instrumentalist Seth Lakeman heads to Tyntesfield to unearth hidden histories and commemorate unsung heroes from his latest album ‘Word of Mouth’.
Seth’s previous albums include the Mercury Music Prize nominated ‘Kitty Jay’ (2005) and the gold-selling ‘Freedom Fields’ (2006) which featured the hit singles Lady of the Sea and The White Hare.
