Crazy Twist to Singers Hawick Show
The Hub is run by Burnfoot Community Futures, who aim to improve the
wellbeing, quality of life and opportunities of the local community. They look to enhance the social, cultural, recreational and educational facilities, environment and economy of Burnfoot.
The acclaimed songwriter who plays The Border Club in Hawick on 26th October says, ?when I?m on tour I always try and find the nearest crazy golf course to the venue to get in a quick 9 holes?.
The singer whose hits include Sky Sports F1 theme ?Just Drive? and Bring It On has developed a passion for the quirky sport even hosting his own crazy golf championship in his home town Whitby with entrants playing for a miniature claret jug.
He?s even written a song inspired by his beloved sport called ?The Boy, The Rocket and The World? referring to the Rocket hole in Whitby which golfers have to putt through to finish their round.
Alistair?s music regularly features on major sporting events and was used to montage The British Open Golf at Carnoustie as well Andy Murray?s first Wimbledon title by BBC Sport.
Griffin?s show promises to mix belters with banter in what he describes as interactive acoustic show.
