You can't really argue with combining one the finest dance music brands in the world with, arguably the best party destination Europe has to offer, making Defected Croatia a ridiculously temping prospect. Based at iconic party destination The Garden in Tisno, the Adriatic festival made its debut last year, serving up a six day delight of beach parties, club raves and when required, relaxation.

It goes without saying that the biggest names in music will be on hand for the event, which takes place between Thursday 10th - Tuesday 15th August, with the Defected Croatia line up boasting talent such as MK, Kenny Dope, Eats Everything and literally bucket loads more.

Whilst dreaming of sunnier climes, we picked the glorious quintet set to dazzle at this year's Defected Croatia.

Ninetoes

We couldn't very well talk about the Berlin producer without mentioning 'Finder' could we? Well, four years on from releasing the hottest track of 2013 - the most shazamed tune in Ibiza that year - the artist has continued to deliver. 2017 alone has seen releases come via Still Hot, Moon Harbour, and, fittingly, Defected, delivering the jacking, techy, house sound that is proving to a worldwide hit.

Ninetoes' headline set on Nu Jacks Boat Party 01, which takes place on the Friday of the festival, will be a perfect way to kick off an evening of raving, and he returns the same night for Defected's all night rave at Barabellas.

Henry Lewis

Derrick Carter

The king of jacking house, Derrick L Carter has been rocking dancefloors for close to three decades, with no signs yet of any relenting influence (we even nominated him as one of our 16 most influential DJs of the past 16 years) from his tour de force assaults on house, funk, disco and acid.

He'll be bringing his trademark groove to the Main Stage on the Saturday, but it's the return of his infamous Derrick does Disco at Barabarellas later that evening which is the real draw for us.

Jimmy Coultas

Sonny Fodera

Few DJs quite encapsulate Defected's grasp of now like Sonny Fodera, the antipodean selector who has had a relationship with the label has seen artist albums, mix concepts and a slew of bass driven vocal house monsters which have dominated clubland over the past few years.

His Dj sets are quite something as well, something we witnessed live in Manchester recently, and will be a dominant focus of Monday with sets on the Main stage and a Frequently Flying boat party.

JC

Eats Everything

The opening Thursday of Defected Croatia welcomes a huge show from one of dance music's biggest names, and personalities, in the form of Eats Everything. The Bristolian truly is a world beater, with a tonne of peerless productions and a load of remixes to his name, and these add some serious weight to his mouthwatering DJ sets.

His main stage headline slot is followed with a slot over at Barbarella's, where he tops a bill that features various alumni of his Edibles record label.

HL

Monki

Heading up the female brethren on this year's Defected line up is Monki. From her humble roots as a Rinse FM intern, the talented DJ has created her own empire. A tastemaker, constantly unearthing new underground electronic music, she is part of BBC Radio 1's hugely influential team with her own show and has created her digital imprint Zoo Music.

Although technically fairly conventional, Monki has a shamelessly fun style, fundamentally driven by bass music, expect anything from grime beats to vintage piano house on the Beach stage on the Sunday night.
