Vegucated is a feature-length documentary that follows three meat- and cheese-
loving New Yorkers who agree to adopt a vegan diet for six weeks.
Theres Brian, the bacon-loving bachelor who eats out all the time, Ellen, the
single mom who prefers comedy to cooking, and Tesla, the college student who
avoids vegetables and bans beans. They have no idea that so much more than
steak is at stake and that the fate of the world may fall on their plates. Lured with
true tales of weight lost and health regained, they begin to uncover hidden sides
of animal agriculture and soon start to wonder whether solutions offered in films
like Food, Inc. go far enough.

Before long, they find themselves risking everything to expose an industry they
supported just weeks before.
But can their conviction carry them when times get tough? What about on family
vacations fraught with skeptical step-dads, carnivorous cousins, and breakfast
buffets?

Part sociological experiment, part science class, and part adventure story,
Vegucated showcases the rapid and at times comedic evolution of three people
who share one journey and ultimately discover their own paths in creating a
kinder, cleaner, greener world, one bite at a time.

Meanwhile, we aim to raise funds for the charity VEGFAM, who has been providing people from very poor countries with food WITHOUT ANIMAL OR ENVIRONMENTAL EXPLOITATION. This is achieved through the raffle, in which EVERY ticket wins a DVD on topics related to veganism, and possibly something more!! And any further donation to Vegfam is highly welcome!

Also, we rely heavily on donations in organising this event. So we would really appreciate any extra donation for covering the costs of this event.

Unfortunately we can only admit 100 people to the event, so we will only admit people who have reserved their places. To avoid disappointment, please RSVP by emailing:

sl5701@bris.ac.uk or alanphenyl@hotmail.com

or registering interest here on this page if you're on Facebook. For those of you who still can't decide whether to come or not, there could be places left that day (depending on interest), but please check this page regularly for updates.

For people who arrive by car, there are only 5 parking slots available at Hamilton House (access from City Road), but there are some slots in the streets nearby.
