Festival No.6 has announced a host of new live acts and DJs as well as a typically eclectic arts and culture line up. Heading up the live announcements are French touch duo Cassius (watch '1999' below), ex Can legend Malcolm Mooney, who will be appearing with the Biting Tongues, and the experimental pop duo Cat's Eyes, featuring The Horrors frontman Faris Badwan.

The after-hours electronic offering features Fabric resident Craig Richards, Ninja Tune duo Maribou State, house innovator Leon Vynehall and Electric Chair legends Unabombers. Meanwhile DJ Yoda will be performing a special sci-fi influenced set inspired by Dr Who and The Prisoner.

For fans of the written word there are plenty of cerebral treats from Irvine Welsh celebrating the 20th anniversary of Trainspotting to punk poet John Cooper Clarke. Poets Simon Armitage and Murray Lachlan Young will also be performing and there will be an 'in conversation' event with renowned DJ Andy Wetherall

In the film tent, there will be an exclusive screening of Mat Whitecross' new movie about Oasis along with new documentaries about Badly Drawn Boy, Howard Marks and Sparklehorse. Over on the comedy stage the likes of Paul Foot, Mark Watson, Joe Lycett and Aisling Bea will provide the laughs.
