The Warehouse Project's season is one of the pinnacles of the UK clubbing calendar. For 12 weeks, the Manchester rave goliath brings the who's who of dance music to the city for a series of parties hosted by the industry's leading brands, artists and labels. 2017 is no different.

From 16th September right through to New Year's Day, the leading names in house, techno and bass will make their way to Store Street for some of the most impressive showcases WHP has ever seen. We've picked five acts we really think you should make time for this year.

Larry Heard aka Mr Fingers

The blueprint for quality, soulful house music was forged by artists like Larry Heard. As a member of the influential group Fingers Inc. (alongside Robert Owens and Ron Wilson), his mid-1980s productions are considered to be genre classics and still have just as much of an impact on the dancefloors as they did back then.

He headlines proceedings when Love International swing by in December, with the likes of Laurent Garnier, Joy Orbison, Crazy P, Leon Vynehall and Denis Sulta also confirmed. This is one worth shouting about.

Larry Heard aka Mr Fingers plays Love International on Saturday 2nd December - tickets available below from Friday 21st July 9am.

My Nu Leng

Annie Mac takes over the whole of the first weekend in October, with a bassy flavour on the Friday before things get all hosue nad techno the following night.

It's the presence of My Nu Leng on the Friday though which somehow encapsulates all those flavours, the duo managing to fire rapidly through the swing and groove of house up to much rowdier bass heavy moments. Check their mix for Radio One's other Annie, Nightingale, for a flavour of their ease at shifting between the genre gears.

Bad Company play Annie Mac presents part 1 @ WHP on Friday October 6th - tickets available below

Bicep

In case you haven't heard the news, Belfast duo Bicep are due to release their debut album this September. A long awaited long player that will no doubt blow our little minds (check out Aura from the album above). They'll be showcasing their knack for house, techno, electro and Italo disco with a series of live show featuring tracks from the new LP.

The Feel My Bicep show is part of their album tour, but as with all WHP shows, this isn't your average party - cue the likes of Carl Craig, Moodymann, KiNK and Rodhad. It's pretty good company for a pair who are a massive pull on their own.

Bicep play Feel My Bicep WHP on Saturday 18th November - tickets available below from Friday 21st July 9am.

Tchami

As ever the WHP season unfurls reveal a smattering of artists making the push to the big league, with Solardo one of the recipients of their own showcase in 2017 - underlining their stratospheric rise in recent years.

Also bestowed with the honour is Tchami, the French DJ and producer proving to be a consistent draw whatever size club he has been in since he first blew up in 2013 (as evidenced by his drop filled tour de force at Ultra Miami earlier this year). Expect his accessible house sound to bring a bit of sunshine to Manchester when he touches down in December.

Tchami @ WHP takes place on Friday 15th December - tickets available below from Friday 21st July 9am

Jon Hopkins

Delivering an all encompassing DJ set to the Store Street faithful will be Jon Hopkins, who is the penultimate act of Floating Points' curated night of mind expanding music. As a producer, we're all aware of Hopkins' absolute genius, creating genre transcending melodies that are deeply emotive and engaging, however, he is unsurprisingly a top selector too.

With such a deep love for music and a seismic discography, as well as the technical know how to stitch together tracks in perfect harmony, Hopkins is able to pack a range of thoughts and feelings into his sets, creating a truly unforgettable experience.

Jon Hopkins plays Curated By Floating Points on Saturday 30th September - tickets available below from Friday 21st July 9am.
