Glastonbury just got a whole lot better with the announcement of its Block9 area.

A popular spot for revellers to avoid any form of sleep, the underground dance fort splits into the NYC Downlow stage which is inspired by New York's meatpacking district, techno stronghold Genosys and bass trap London Underground. (Watch a clip from a previous year)

Seth Troxler leads the additions with Eats Everything, Joey Beltram, Mike DunnMidland, Prosumer, Andy Butler of Hercules and Love Affair, Shy Fx, The Black Madonna, Mr G, Chez Damier, Craig Richards, Horse Meat Disco and Roger Sanchez all locked in. Hot Chip will also perform a Prince tribute DJ set.

This year's 'butcher' than ever Block9 is billed as a "24 hour wonderland of heavyweight sound systems, underground nightclubs, huge artworks and extremely alternative performance". The prospect of dancing in a field never sounded so good.
