Hard rock heavyweights added to Download 2017 in third wave announcement

The festival raids from hard rock, mathcore, hair metal and more sub-genres in a gluttonous grab of almost 50 new bands.

Download Festival 2017 has just got even louder with a slew of huge name acts added to its hard rocking line up. Coming to Donington Park between Friday 9th and Sunday 11th June are glam metal troupe Steel Panther, Florida metalcore A Day to Remember and mathcore quintet The Dillinger Escape Plan, the three groups heading up a raft of announcements that will see a further 48 bands swell the festival line up.

Format:

Joining them will be Suicidal Tendencies, In Flames, Kvelertrak, Baroness, Hacktivist, Creeper and more, with the Download line up already boasting previous announced headliners Biffy Clyro, Aerosmith and System of a Down among the hard rock behemoths gracing the festival's litany of stages.
