British reggae icon, Macka B is gearing up to hit the road for his 'Health Is Wealth Tour', which kicks off on Thursday 12th October in Glasgow.

Born to Jamaican parents in the Midlands, Macka B grew up listening to reggae, as well as learning to play the violin and singing in the school choir. He formed the Exodus sound system and became a Rastafarian following his 1982 trip to Jamaica.

His 1986 debut album, Sign Of The Times was received well in the UK, and he has gone on to release a steady flow of material, as well as touring both alone and with other respected artists including The Wailers and Lee Perry.

More recently he has become known for his 'Medical Monday' and 'What Me Eat Wednesday' Youtube videos, including 'Cucumba' that went viral, reaching in excess of 30 million views after being shared on social media.
