With a focus on original, organic music, Methusala will showcase around 30 national and local acts on two outdoor stages at the picturesque Rock and River, Hawdesley.

Methusala’s Friday night headline act is Boomin. Tipped as the British Green Day, the Wigan rockers are most definitely ones to watch in 2013.

Saturday sees the main stage passed over to an eclectic mix of the best of organic music from folk to rock, before being crowned by Saturday headliners Shooglenifty

The Lake Stage will be home to new music in its purest form, offering the opportunity for music fans to discover a host of exciting next big things.

Sunday is slightly more chilled out affair until Rock FM DJ Danny Bee takes the stage with Old Skool Dance tunes to round off the weekend.

The full band line-up will be disclosed nearer the date, with a few surprises expected.

Festival goers who play or sing are invited to bring voices and instruments to the session tent, which promises a unique festival experience.

The festival has been brought together by two Lancashire entrepreneurs, DJ/promoter  Andy Gaskell and musician, writer and designer Ian Hewitt.  Up to 5,000 are expected to make  Mawdesley their Mecca for the August Bank Holiday weekend.

Tickets for Methusala Festival are now on sale, with day tickets starting at just £10.
