With their debut album set for release next month, Andy Oliveri & The Mountaineers have recently been receiving support from the likes of Radcliffe and Maconie and Steve Lamacq on BBC 6Music, and John Kennedy on Radio X. Now, following a recent album teaser, the band have shared an infectious new single.
Taken from the upcoming album, ?Sky Candy Apple? is an infectious slice of raw rock. Inspired by a nostalgic collection of poems reflecting on the emotions of reminiscing about your hometown, it?s filled with gritty riffs and hazy, synth-filled melodies. Of the track, Oliveri says:
?I?m really proud of my hometown, especially the pockets of liberal thinking and I think that ideology shines through in the brashness of the song.?
