Set in a natural amphitheatre at the back of the Alma Inn in Linton, lies one of the most charming small festivals in the country - Linton Festival. Providing a winning combination of music, beers and food, Linton Music Festival is the perfect weekend break for all of the family.

Some of the headliners this year include blues rockers The Union. Luke Morley and Peter Shoulder’s world weary delta blues sound has been gaining them a significant following, and now with their third album being released this year, expect to see a set full of classics and exclusives, providing the perfect soundtrack to this years Linton Festival.

Saturday's main attraction will be Jamaican R’n’B and soul singer Ruby Turner. Working with Bryan Ferry, UB40, Steve Winwood, Jools Holland and Mick Jagger in the past, and after 8 charting hit singles, Ruby is still a musical powerhouse, an absolute joy to behold, and a definite highlight of the festival. 

Performing alongside her will be Sandi Thom, perhaps most famous for her huge hit single ’I wish I was a punk rocker (with flowers in my hair)’. She has since recorded 4 albums, and maintained a loyal following, as her likeable take on folk, pop, and R&B continues to strike a chord with fans of those genres.

Sunday sees a hotly anticipated appearance from Hayseed Dixie. Since 2000, these exponents of bluegrass and rock music fusion have toured all over the world, and put in appearances at festivals such as Download Festival, Loopallu, Cambridge Folk Festival and even Denmark’s Roskilde Festival. They will be showcasing their years of experience and wealth of talent to an assuredly delighted Linton crowd.
