In anticipation of Wonder Where We Land, the incoming album from SBTRKT, we're beginning to get quite familiar with the first track released from the album 'NEW DORP.NEW YORK', featuring Vampire Weekend's Ezra Koenig providing the slick unusual vocals for the release that has dominated radio airwaves in the past month or two.
In sync with SBTRKT's first arrival from the new album, the elusive artist has collaborated on a project with Fonz Schneider to come up with a bizarre yet fitting video to match the tracks unconventional lyrics.
It features an animation of the mythical creature inspired by Mexican artist Pedro Linares, sporting Aaron Jerome's trademark tribal markings from the NEW DORP.NEW YORK artwork, scurrying an American metropolis believed to be Staten Island, in search of the mysterious palm it's perched upon on the tracks artwork.
We're certain that the video captures the inventiveness that will blanket Jerome's incoming album, due on Monday 29th September, a day before he showcases at Manchester's Albert Hall on Tuesday 30th September. Tickets for that available here.
