John Morales aka John The Mixer is a pioneering DJ who is continuously working to keep disco's legacy alive, introducing some of the most defining tracks to both seasoned dance music enthusiasts and newbies who are just discovering the history of the most seminal genre.

Born and raised in The Bronx, John Morales became a key figure in the city's musical development in the 1970s and one which would have immeasurable impact to this day. 

He became well known to the wider music industry for the edits he created during this time, and alongside the likes of Walter Gibbons and Francois Kevorkian, Morales became known as one of the pioneering producers whose work would transform the disco, soul and later house of the time into the extended format that DJs and dancers craved in this era of disco.

These days, you can catch John Morales spinning tracks at big events like Glitterbox, Suncebeat, Southport Weekender and Groove Odyssey, plus more intimate showcases like Lost In Music (tickets below), whilst cementing his influence with releases of compilations including three editions of M+M Mixes on BBE Records.
