Looking for some vinyl to slap on your Christmas list? We've unearthed five of our favourite beats that have surfaced on our office stereo this week.

Mystery Jets 'Telomere'

The return of the Mystery Jets with their first album in three years is a welcome prospect for the new year; what's more is that they've let the first track from that slip with a slithering of UK tour dates.

'Telomere' sets the albums intentions with encompassing atmospherics that moves them further apart from the buoyant indie pop we first fell in love with.

After recording in a disused button factory, it'll be interesting to see where they take this album, as they always seem to find the balance between momentary bliss and music that makes you want to leap onto the dinner table.

Ben Smith

Mura Masa ft Shura 'Love For That'

If anyone's locked and loaded to stamp their authority on 2016, it's Mura Masa, the guise of a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Guernsey in the Channel Islands.

Debut album Someday Somewhere is already scribing his name on festival posters, and this oriental dab of dreaminess with Shura drafted in on vocals will undoubtedly be the leading light of those performances.

Animal Collective 'FloriDada'

Animal Collective can never be accused of being boring. Their sound has always been an insane mesh of ideas, chaotic, brash and when listened to with an open mind infinitely rewarding. That said, the opening flurry of FloriDada might seem like they've finally gone too far, but once the ultra sunny chorus whips around the second time you'll be positively hooked.

Bizarre electronics meet Beach Boys style vocal harmonising with just the right amount of weirdness, it's everything we've come to love from one of the most original acts around.

Mike Warburton

Dua Lipa 'Be The One'

Dua Lipa is absolutely one to watch next year. This track follows on from 'New Love', which was produced by Lana Del Rey and FKA Twigs collaborator Emile Hayne, giving an indication as to the sort of off the wall, sugary pop music that Dua Lipa is responsible for.

Her luxuriously thick vocals bring together a catchy hook in 'Be The One', making it an effortless piece of pop music, driven by her enchanting voice that we're sure you'll be hearing a lot more of soon.

Huxley & J.Phlip 'What You Want' (Vin Sol Remix)

The original of this has been tearing dancefloors apart with its squelchy acid edge, but now it's been given a make over by Vin Sol. This remix is fast paced and drum heavy with a jungle twang, this is sure to cause even more destruction.
