The Darkness on Sunday 1st December 2019

Fronted by force of nature Justin Hawkins, The Darkness exploded into the public’s consciousness in 2003 with their wildly successful debut album Permission to Land.

Featuring the smash singles Get Your Hands off My Woman, Growing on Me, Love Is Only a Feeling, Christmas Time (Don’t Let the Bells End) and I Believe in a Thing Called Love, the album catapulted the band to superstardom. The LP has gone 4x Platinum in the UK and the album’s success earned the band a headline slot at Reading and Leeds festival in 2004.

Since their debut, The Darkness have gone on to release four more albums; 2005’s One Way Ticket to Hell and Back, 2012’s Hot Cakes, 2015’s Last of Our Kind and the band’s most recent effort, 2017’s Pinewood Smile. Each album has charted within the top 20 on the Official UK Albums Chart.

The band are currently putting the finishing touches to their brand new album Easter is Cancelled. The record is due for release on 4 October 2019 via indie label Cooking Vinyl and the band are expected to tease new music from the album soon.

Known for their wild live shows, The Darkness have headlined arenas across the globe and have performed at festivals such as Isle of Wight, Download and Glastonbury.
