The Launch and Grand Opening of ‘A Home for Christmas’, Charity Fundraiser

A Home for Christmas, charity fundraising on behalf of Alpha Estate Agents and the Cambridge Building Society to help raise money for one of the leading homelessness charities in Cambridge, Jimmy’s Cambridge on East Road.

Come join us tomorrow between 4pm-7pm at St Philips Church, Mill Road.

For our main attraction we have teamed up with 6 top restaurants from Cambridge who have put together a mouth-watering menu, giving people a chance to try some of the finest local cuisine Cambridge has to offer and all for a good cause!

(The food sponsors who will be taking part on the day are; Coast Fine Fish Restaurant on Trinity Street, 2014 Top Table winner Galleria, Kymmoy’s Chinese noodle bar on Burleigh Street, award winning Indian restaurant Taj Tandoori on Cherry Hinton Road, Mediterranean grill house Al Casbah and Limonecello Italian Deli on Mill Road.)

It will be an afternoon of family fun with our very own Santa Claus, an arts and crafts corner for the kids, a Christmas raffle with prizes such as win £100 worth of John Lewis/Waitrose vouchers and we are asking people to bring along their unwrapped gifts as we will wrap them all for free!

We are trying to promote a message that Cambridge Cares! As one of the most affluent cities in the UK, we take pride in helping others in our community and being sympathetic to people around us who are less fortunate. As Christmas is a time to be humble and to reflect the event will be about bringing the community together and raising awareness for people without a home during Christmas and throughout the harsh winter months.

To help support the cause we have confirmed attendance from Councillor Robert Dryden the Deputy Mayor of Cambridge, Conservative Parliamentary Candidate for Cambridge Chamali Fernando and Cambridge Liberal democrats and MP of Cambridge Julian Huppert.
