Review of The Scottish Pink Floyd
Saw the band for the 1st time at the Ferry earlier this year and couldn't pass on the chance to see them again. A good mix of songs from around 7 different albums, including Echoes and a great rendition of the seldom played Final Cut. Would have been nice to have some front lighting, but that's just a minor quibble. There are many PF tributes out there, notably Australian Pink Floyd, Brit Floyd and MacFloyd, so a band needs to be good to survive. SPF are good enough to survive and make a success of things. They also seem to have a hard core fan base which also helps. I'm looking forward to seeing them again in the not too distant future.
A gripe about the venue was that the band seemed a bit crammed together due to the size of the stage. Also, they need to have Guinness on tap upstairs and a couple of choices of malt whisky wouldn't go amiss either - it's not fair on the staff having to go downstairs to bring drinks from the other bar. The staff are very nice and friendly though.
