Galeri Caernarfon Cyf is an independent and private company, which is limited by guarantee. The company is not a part of any local authority or any other organisation.
The company was set up to meet the following objective:
To pursue sustainable projects in a creative way in order to realise the cultural, economic and environmental potential of the local community and its environs
Since forming 1992, the company has grown from strength to strength and is now responsible for establishing and implementing numerous projects and schemes within the local community. The Trust’s work programme includes:
•Property development
•Implementing Adwy Cyf schemes (Agency role)
•Managing SBARC! – Galeri’s Arts Project
•Owners of Galeri – the £7.5million Creative Enterprise Centre
The opening of Galeri in 2005 marked a significant development for the arts and creative industries in North Wales. Galeri houses a 400 seat theatre cinema, two rehearsal studios, art space, bar, cafe, offices and several meeting conference rooms.
