Review of Low Life & Greg Wilson...Up On The Roof
I loved the music as the djs are some of our faves! But the night was really spoilt by the VERY over the top jobsworths calling themselves security! From the start one of our group was turned away as his photo id wasn’t good enough! He had to go home to get his passport! Some poor people couldn’t get in at all & had travelled far for the event! I’ve never had to show photo id to get into any event!!
Once we were in people were getting strip searched just for taking too long ( innocently) in the loo! I didn’t go all night as wearing a jumpsuit it does take a while!! Security were on everyone all night! Stopping people sitting on seats, smoking outside, it got very tiresome & we got fed up & left early.
Such a shame as the venue itself is great but the security need to realise they are bouncers, not the SAS!!
We won’t be going to anything else there, a shame…

Review of Up On The Roof\'s House Party with Todd Terry, Aline Rocha & Rio
Top night for a mates birthday. Everything was excellent except the bar queue pre the club room opening was 30-45 mins to get.
Would definitely recommend.

Review of Up On The Roof\'s House Party with Todd Terry, Aline Rocha & Rio
An excellent night. The music was amazing, the atmosphere was excellent, there was a good mix of young and older ravers (like myself), security were calm and professional and the vibe in the Hotel Room was great. Todd Terry was legendary. More House nights please and get Todd back asap.

Review of Norman Jay MBE & Simon Dunmore: The Final Credit..Up On The Roof
hi there. I wasn't allowed in initially as my photo ID was my NHS work card (I'm a nurse). I don't have an up to date driving license and wasn't comfortable bringing my passport. I was advised I couldn't get in by the security staff at the door. It was suggested I call the manager who I did speak with. He said the venue can only scan a driving license or passport and that it was on the ticket/email. I advised I didn't recall that it specified driving license/passport. I had organised the day and invited 5 friends who were already inside waiting for me. My only option was to return home after travelling over an hour to get to the venue initially and then take another hour to come back late into Norman Jay's set and my friends waiting for me. I have now looked and nowhere does it specify what photo ID is required. I think this rule is ridiculous. There was nothing wrong with my ID as ID. and I don't feel people should have to bring their passports to a club and have it scanned onto who knows what system or where it goes to?
there was also an issue with security stopping people from going to the top floor about half way through the evening. So people came down to get a drink or use the toilets unknowingly and couldn't get back up?
although there was space upstairs at either end of the floor at this time.
despite the above, I did enjoy as I usually do the vibe and venue and the 2 main DJs, I danced, chatted with friendly people and this was what I like.
I would appreciate a response to my issue of missing some of the evening including Normal Jay and disrupting my plans with my friends due to the ID issue. This was not a cheap event

What an absolutely fantastic day we all had 'up on the roof'. The crowd was having it and we all had a great day and night at the PoW. I have been there a few times, but this was the best one yet. Norman J and Simon had that place rocking ! We will definitely be back soon.

Review of Michael Gray presents \'Sultra\'
Michael played a blinder set and had a great crowd behind him. It's a great venue and the staff are all excellent except for one doorlady who was extremely bossy and seemed to thrive on ordering people about including throwing one guy out for no obvious reason. He was a little tipsy but certainly not a liability to himself or anybody else in the venue. But otherwise, all great. I would otherwise have awarded the venue five stars.
