The “infamous” Metro Club is back!!
When the Twisted Wheel Club in Manchester closed down in January 1971, the Metro Club in Wakefield took over as the NUMBER ONE All-nighter venue in the North of England.
When the Metro Club closed later in 1971, it made the national press.
Now, after a break of 40 years, THE METRO CLUB IS BACK!!!!! Just like the Wheel, the club is situated under what is now a Bar, and occupies a cellar directly adjacent to the original Metro.
And the DJ who was spinning the discs on the last nighter 40 years ago is back on the decks!!
ENTRANCE TO THE CLUB IS FREE --- Full licenced bar at regular pub prices.
