U2 2 are the world's longest running tribute to U2. Actually, look-a-like/sound-a-likes, the band was formed by current members back in 1992, under the name, 'Achtung Baby'. Over the last 28 years, this real-deal of tributes has performed over 2000 concerts, spanning three continents.
Featured on national TV and radio throughout the UK and europe, not only have the band performed alongside the real U2, but they've been praised by Bono and U2 staff members. Often mixed up with the real U2, even by security at a U2 concert, their sounds are second to none and were voted The U.K.'s best sound-a-likes.
Their solo crowd attendance record is 10,000 in Portugal and some of their past venues include, Dublin's Point Depot, Sheffield arena and Feyenoord Stadium. Past clients include the 2012 Olympics, Pernod-Ricard, Silverstone races, BBC, ITV1, RTE, SKY, Blackberry, Mencap and Donington Park.
For their 2020 tour, U2 2 will be performing Joshua Tree album shows across The U.K. The band were actually playing these shows a full year before U2 started their massive world tour, finally coming back to this format, also playing classic U2 tracks.
