For "Music" grade read performance overall.

You can only recommend JCC if you explain to the other person that there will be a lot of rambling & very few poems, but that the rambling will be occasionally OTT but mainly hilarious. Once you know that, you can relax & enjoy without impatience.

His delivery these days is faster than ever & a bit difficult to catch all the words, and he does sometimes forget lines now which isn't surprising. Nevertheless I cried with laughter or shared the shock of his (pre?) Thatcher era outrage. Probably he should do more, newer naterial these days, but never mind, bands have to remember their hits too.

The two poets on beforehand were far more than just a support & explained the ticket cost which is a bit above the approaching Benjamin Zephania date. Salena Godden was powerful in ideas & passion, Henry Normal was for me a rather strange but quite enjoyable combination of music hall short pieces & longer, moving sensitivity. I would have liked more of the latter but my pal related to the whole.

I was sorry the MC was grating and irritating, and there was no need for him to say anything at all before the second half other than appear, give brief reason for delay - fine, & say "JCC", but the attempted build up was feeble & unnecessary. Fortunately I was able to forget about him once he went.

A mention about the ticket booking through Skiddle which was bizarre. I had an email to say to downlad the tickets a second time as there had been a slight discrepancy with the seating. The tickets appeared identical however so that seemed to have wasted a lot of my time!
