Amidst the smart shops in this corner of historic York is the location for Mr Pâ€™s Curious Tavern. Andrew Pern, AKA Mr P, Executive Chef/Director, Chef/Owner of the Michelin-starred Star Inn at Harome, Executive Chef/Director, The Star Inn the City, York and The Star Inn The Harbour, Whitby. Andrew Pernâ€™s quirky venture at 71 Low Petergate offers something for everyone: sharing platters and small plates to combine to suit your appetite and sate your curiosity, along with a glass (or two) of something different and ambience by the barrel load.

The location is an atmospheric (allegedly haunted) Grade II* listed building, parts of which date back to the same era as The Shambles, although the majority of the construction was completed in the early C17th.
