Austin Ato may be a new name to emerge from the musical lands of Scotland's electronic landscape, but the man has been doing his thing for over a decade under various names. His new project as Austin Ato has already given us standout 12” releases on Phonica White, Me Me Me and Futureboogie. As a producer and DJ, he brings together a rich mixture of influences — from afrobeat and dubby house, to pulsing disco and machine funk — that all combine to create a dance floor vibe that’s fresh but also steeped in dance music history.
