Biography
I Am Fya is an experimental multidisciplinary artist from Manchester, UK. With the SP404Mk2 sampler and loop station as her creative companions, she creates music from field recordings of everyday sounds. Her recent work collects sounds and visuals from her homeland, Barbados. It focuses on identity, culture, spiritual connections to land and ancestors, radical self-love, the power of chosen family, otherness, and acceptance.
