Amy Winehouse will play new material for the first time in nearly five years at her comeback shows in Brazil.

The 'Rehab' singer will perform four dates on the mini tour - which starts on Saturday (08.01.11) - including stops in Rio De Janeiro and Sao Paulo, and singer Zalon, who is working with Amy and her band, has promised fans can expect to hear new songs at the concerts.

He tweeted: "Amy Winehouse, @Zalon @Heshimaand band rehearsing for Brazil tour! Get Ready!New songs."

Amy - who is presently said to be working on the follow up to her multi-million selling 'Back To Black' album - arrived in Brazil yesterday, keeping her fans updated through the micro blogging site.

She wrote: "Amy arrived in Brazil: > Amy arrived today at 9AM at Galeao Airport and went straight to Hotel Santa Tereza in Rio."

The 27-year-old singer has rarely performed live - and never with a full backing band - since 2008, so fans are hoping this "one off" tour is a sign she is ready to make a comeback.

Amy -who has a complicated relationship with ex-husband and former drug addict Blake Fielder Civil - has seen her career suffer while she previously battled drug addiction but is now said to be trying to curb her partying lifestyle.
