Manchester's Soup Kitchen is notorious for hosting talented and cultured acts, forming a solid reputation by retaining the city's long standing association with top quality music. This time the kitchen plays host to the thrilling experimental electro pop leanings of Cloud Boat on Saturday 12th October.
The London based duo compromised of Tom Clarke (Vocals) and Sam Ricketts (Drums) arrive in Manchester on the back of releasing their second album Model Of You which followed their debut release Book Of Hours.
Their second release is a melting pot of striving guitar, muscular drums and electronic loops glossed with Clarke's soothing tones to create an ambience that makes the album what it is, and it's quite simply brilliant.
'Carmine' (above) stands out as one of the albums golden touches, an emotional tale that incorporates tremendous vocals, dreamy drum loops and washing synths to create a sound that will be vastly appreciated in Soup Kitchen's intimate space. Grab your tickets here.
