Modern day maestro Nils Frahm has penned a must-see date in the diary as he comes to Manchester's Albert Hall in 2018. By fusing traditional piano tones with more contemporary equipment like drum machines, Roland synthesizers, Rhodes pianos and other new age inventions, the German has become one of the leading lights in the contemporary classical genre.
As well as numerous collaborations, including work with the likes of established 'sound artist' Machinefabriek, author, musician, and producer Frank Schültge and many more, Nils has also released a massive discography as a solo artist.
Not only that, in 2015 the German picked up a coveted Film Prize for Best Soundtrack in his native country whilst in the same year he launched Piano Day, performed as part of the BBC Proms and released his 11th solo studio album.
His date at the Albert Hall in Manchester on Wednesday 28th February 2018 comes after a year of rest for the classical star ahead of bringing his seismic musical output to stunned crowds around the world.
