Want a new way to meet people? The launch event of Old Fashion Dating takes its inspiration from 1930s courting, mixing old school matchmaking with (gentle) speed-dating, all followed by a cracking burlesque show.
The old fashioned aspect will see a dating expert match-make applicants ahead of the event, based on their answers to a questionnaire completed on booking. Each attendee will receive a sealed dating card on arrival containing information about their 10 handpicked dates. Interviews will be gently marshalled over an hour or so you can spend some time getting to know each one.
The set up seems to offer a less hectic and less random experience than more traditional speed dating events and the backdrop of vintage glamour suggests you could hope for a smidgen more sophistication than one would normally be wise to expect at this sort of thing. We hope, anyway.
If burlesque floats your boat, stay on to enjoy some more stories, songs and tease in the shape of theatrical show, Burlexe www.burlexe.com and wait for the organisers to take care of the post-event matchmaking, enabling you to follow up on any positive, promising meetings.
