Eminem and Arctic Monkeys are set to headline this year's V Festival.

The 'Lose Yourself' rapper and the 'I Bet You Look Good on the Dancefloor' rockers are in talks to play at the outdoor music event - which takes place in Staffordshire, West Midlands, and Essex, East England in August - with Eminem being tipped to be joined on stage by Rihanna.

A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "Eminem looks to be a done deal and it's hoped he might be joined by Rihanna for 'Love The Way You Lie' at Chelmsford or Staffordshire. Getting her to do a festival would be a real coup."

Arctic Monkeys headlined the Reading and Leeds Festival last year, but insiders say they weren't pleased with their performance and want to make up for it with a stunning show at V.

The source added: "The Arctic Monkeys weren't pleased at how their Reading and Leeds Festival shows went down so they feel V might be a better choice this time around."

Last year's V festival was headlined by Kasabian and Kings of Leon.
