Having already announced that the likes of Beck, London Grammar, Bonobo and Neneh Cherry will be among the musicians taking to the stunning Gwynedd festival this year (head here for the full line up), Festival No. 6 ramps up its hype machine by revealing to us the details of its always impressive arts and culture line up, a factor that makes Festival No. 6 one of the most excitingly different festivals out there (check out the highlights from last year below).

On the menu will be a very special Dylan Thomas centenary tribute, with the likes of actor Rhys Ifans, director Kevin Allen, Murray Lachlan young and Stuart Maconie all involved.

Celebrated author and comedian Charlie Higson and fellow Fast Show affiliate Simon Day will also be putting in appearance, as will IT Crowd and Mighty Boosh actor and lauded folk artist Matt Berry, who will be joined by Sara Pascoe for a live performance of extracts from Simon Garfield's 'To The Letter'.

Shane Meadows, director of British classics 'Dead Man's Shoes', 'A Room For Romeo Brass' and 'This Is England' will be premiering his new film 'The Living Room', with Kieren Evans new Dexy's Midnight Runners biopic also be getting an airing, followed by a Q&A with Kevin Rowlands and Jimmy Paterson from the band.

The comedy line up this year too is reliably impressive, with scheduled appearances from TV regular Josh Widdicombe, Germany's self styled ambassador of comedy Henning Wehn, Mock The Week favourite Robin Ince, as well as Tony Law, Phil Kay and a tonne of others.

We've only just touched the surface of what's in store for this years edition of festival, as the hugely loved Portmeirion extravaganza continues to impress with its marrying of arts, music and culture in a way few others successfully achieve. Head here for more on Festival no. 6.
