GNOD support Sun Araw and Zun Zun Egui on Manchester date 21/11/10 (Islington Mill)

In our opinion GNOD are simply the best pyschedlic garage band in the UK and are as band building an impressive reputation. See them at Islington Mill supporting Sun Araw and Zun Zun Egui.

Putting together a live music night is not an easy task unless your headline band has a massive promotion budget and the backing of a record label with global connections. But occasionally a really good band comes along and you think I know who'll be great supporting them - and then it all clicks into place and suddenly you have a really good night to promote.

Sun Araw (from Long Beach, California) is the brain child of muician and visula artist Cameron Stallones and during October and November will be touring Europe and the UK and playing alongside the likes of Hype Williams and Scout Niblett. Sun Araw play trance inducing pyschedelic synth modulations and it's pretty darned good!.

Zun Zun Egui - from Mauritius via Bristol - produce a hybrid tropical progressive krautrock afrobeat that's - wait for it - danceable. Following some excellent well received releases, the band has been making a name for themselves recently with Greenman and End of Road festival appearances PLUS a tour with Fuck Buttons and a support slot for David Byrne at the Royal Festival Hall - and we last saw them at the Tiger Lounge!

GNOD are one of those bands that are once seen never forgotten and after listening to them you kinda think you've just discovered the best pyschedlic garage band in the world. Their astral trance sludge pyche rock is the music eqivalent of an LSD trip.

With GNOD and Comfortable on a Tightrope djs this is one helluva special night. As there's an early start food is available so you can keep your energy levels high.
