Iconic singer-songwriter and former frontman of The Verve, Richard Ashcroft has issued a brand new reworked edition of his track, ‘C’mon People (We're Making It Now)', featuring the unmistakable vocals of swaggering Oasis legend, Liam Gallagher

The first recording, which appeared on Ashcroft's latest album release, 2021's Acoustic Hymns Vol. One, has been given the full support of "an exuberant, full band wall-of-sound", according to the indie-rock legend, who returned to the studio to remix the track towards the end of last year.

Upon its release last October, Acoustic Hymns Vol. One was unsurprisingly met with a flood of rave reviews and reached number two on the official UK album charts. The twelve-track LP is comprised of expansive symphonic renditions of some of the singer's biggest solo releases as well as classics from The Verve's discography, including album opener - 'Bittersweet Symphony'.

Catch the modern-day rock n roll superstar performing ‘C’mon People (We're Making It Now)' alongside his other many massive hits, such as 'Lucky Man', 'A Song For The Lovers' and 'The Drugs Don't Work', at this year's Highest Point Festival in Lancaster. Ashcroft will open the fourth installment of the popular open-air event underneath the stunning Ashton memorial on the grounds of Williamson Park, on Thursday 12th May.

Tickets for the opening event, in addition to two and three-day festival passes, are now on sale and can be purchased at the bottom of the page.
