Cloud Boat // 3rd April

Now Wave secure the intriguing talents of Sam Ricketts and Tom Clarke, AKA Cloud Boat on April 3rd. After debuting on the iconic Belgian imprint R&S back in 2011, Cloud Boat's subsequent infamy has been mammoth, as their fearlessly unique vision comprising of ambient textures, experimental sound design and folk tinged sweeping melodies evoking a sound somewhere in between Burial, Mogwai and James Blake continues to impress. Intelligent and beautiful in equal measure, these are a duo that you need in your life.

Tourist // 10th April

Next in Now Wave's sights is up and coming producer Tourist. With a sound that exists somewhere between blissful house and dreamy electro, Tourist has enjoyed an awful lot of hype from the blogging world, with his releases finding homes on the Disclosure affiliated Method Records. This year promises big things for the burgeoning talent. Check out his 'Together' record above to get  a feel for what's in store.

Timber Timbre // 17th April

Now well established as one of the most important voices in Canadian music right now, Timber Timbre have risen to prominence since unleashing a series of recordings made in an isolated Ontario cabin back in 2007. Their cinematic, neofolk stylings have won over a staunch fan base, with their last longplayer receiving extensive critical plaudits and an number of awards in the process. With a brand new album out on April 1st (check out 'Black water' from that above), this is a rare chance to witness Timber Timbre's "arid western, haunted folk signature sound" live and direct.

Childhood // 23rd April

Initially born out of a desire to kill time at university, Childhood have grown into one of the most hotly tipped acts in the UK, with their soulful, Americana and shoegaze hybrid sound getting props from leading music tabloids like NME and Pitchfork amongst others. Their more recent explorations into psyche infused waters has garnered even more praise as they continue at a pace to reach wider acclaim. Check out their blistering 'Solemn Skies' record above.

Arriving at Soup Kitchen on April 24th will be Melbourne based electronicist Chet Faker, whose soulful, experimental downtempo output has heralded in a genuinely exciting new talent that has seen him in demand the world over. School Of Language // 28th April

As the side project of David Brewis from much loved Mercury Prize nominated Field Music, School Of Language has seen his singular vision embark on completely original direction. With sounds often showcasing 'clipped falsetto, melancholic funk, iridescent electro, shimmering post-punk and futurist prog', School Of Language acts like 'a self-contained sphere of strange sensations, beguiling textures and lengthening shadows'. Check out 'Dress Up' above to see what we mean.
