Rain and an Ashes defeat. Ugh. Time to retreat to hedonism...

Festivals

Mint Festival added Sven Vath to their line up this week, whilst we took a look at our pick of the dance acts at Reading & Leeds and picked five of the best from Creamfields headliners The Prodigy.

On top of that we went to EDC (it was great), spoke to Rob Tissera about what makes the perfect festival and spotlighted the lesser known but very worthy Fieldview and Kaya gatherings.

Clubs

The Asylum is back this Autumn, as is WHP and Pier Jam, as life beyond the summer starts to dawn on us. There's still plenty of sunshine left though, with loads going on in Ibiza next month, Martin Garrix heading to Glasgow and pure disco in Manchester in our big clubbing competition.

Skiddle Mix 079 - Reset Robot (Drumcode/Get Physical) by Skiddle on Mixcloud

We've chatted with Motor City Drum Ensemble, remembered how amazing Original Pirate Material was, and have mixes coming out our ears, with offerings from Neverdogs, Reset Robot (listen above) and Hacienda resident Jon Dasilva all worth checking.

Live Music

Wolf Alice and Johnny Marr both delivered tour news this week, as well as iconic electronic producer Manuel Gottsching. We also found time to chat to stadium dweller Frank Turner, whilst the new Tame Impala LP has been on heavy rotation on the office stereo.

On a final note, hip hop fans need to learn more about this Biggie Smalls kickstarter, and we want to know what charities you all want us to find cash for. I'm out of this joint.
