Friendly atmosphere with enough toilets and beer tents and staff to serve and help… music tributes were good, a bit disappointed with the queen lead singer…. Messed about to much with the vocals…shame about the builders yard concrete scree on the floor… sand would have made it much better still an enjoyable day out tho

Great time atmos fantastic but the ground work was a mess.....felt like i should have worn a hard hat....staff were brilliant....excellent facilities but £6 for a can bit overboard on the profit margins ....all in all a great day

Music was brilliant. The main reason for going. Venue however, small and run down, horrible dusty rocky floor which after 8 hours of standing on starts to take its toll on your feet! "Bar" selling cans of beer/cider for £6 each, no draughts which for £6 you would like a cold beer not a warm can of Carling! About 4 food stalls, food was nice but they did state there would be PLENTY of bars and food stalls so strictly NO food or drink (including unopened soft) to be brought in. Ended up spending £24 on four cans of Carling and £10 on some chicken & chips. Expensive day for such a small grotty venue but I was there for the music and very much enjoyed that part! Would never bother going back for another event there though.

£6 for a cam of Thatchers. An absolute rip off. Terrible venue as basically we were stood on rubble . No wonder we were advised to bring chairs. Reminded me of Banksys exhibition Dismal Land that I attended at same venue only this was meant to be an actual festival venue. . I thought it was very dismal venue. Sorry but really isn't suitable venue. We couldn't re-enter so basically no choice but to stay. However we see 2 acts and left. Never agsin

The tropicana need to sort out the rubble floor. I was worried I was going to turn my ankle on the stones. It was horrible, grey and dusty - a far cry from the lovely grass at most festivals and it would have been really awful it had been very windy or if it had rained.
The tropicana should have sorted out their bringing a chair policy. When I phoned them with a week to go they told me it was going to be a standing event and couldn't have chairs because of health and safety. I told them there would be a riot of middle aged people on the prom wielding camping chairs and by Wednesday they had changed their policy.
It all seemed very cramped but I didn't fancy the look of the VIP area at the very back which looked like you had to stand all day to see anything.
Did we miss out on oasis and the rolling stones? Swear I saw them on the original line up. It felt an age before it got started at 2pm and i felt the mood had fallen a bit flat with the wait.
On a positive note the change overs were swift, the portaloos were pretty clean and there was a good choice of food. Felt a bit cheated by the karaoke David bowie and Elton John. My husband thought it would have been good to have a urinal block and he would have liked to have been able go in and out - he thinks we would have stayed later if we could have popped out at dinner time but i know they want a captive audience with the food and drink. Would have preferred a Saturday as didn't want a late night before work.
Overall, couldn't bear to go back as long as the ground is looking like a building site.

Need to bring a chair unless you want to stand all day. Drink and food prices quite expensive. Good atmosphere. Tribute bands were pretty decent. Would go again.

We enjoyed the event. The quality of the music was a bit mixed bag. Some tribute acts were excellent, but a few had issues hitting the right notes.
The Queen experience was probably the best- simultaneoys singing and high exertion Freddie moves requires quite some fitness.

the floor was awful like being at a building yard, got absolutely filthy not nice for people with mats to sit on. the drink prices were expensive and they had run out of cider on sun at 3pm had to wait over an hour for more not a good range if you drink beer which my other half does. the music was so so not that brilliant on some of the acts as tribute bands.
one good thing was the amazing guy that worked his butt off keeping the potta loos amazingly clean and topped up with toilet roll credit to his business.
the no re entry rule was disgusting as well expecting people to be in that place for over 10 hours. a stamp on hand would of been nice or wrist bands, we will not be attending again especially with the state of the floor

Not sure if it was the sound system but quite a few of the singers sounded flat!
Luckily we'd taken chairs as you couldn't sit on the ground as it uneven dusty rubbly hard-core!!

I bought the tickets when advertised 80's tribute festival, ABBA, Beatles, Fleetwood Mac, not 80's, disappointed
The ground on site was Rubble, stones and dust, not easy to walk on, ruined good shoes, should have been warned, drinks were expensive £6 per can, ran out of cider at 5 o'clock, food too expensive, didn't bother, left early won't be rebooking

Drink prices a rip off....£140 for bottle of spirit you can buy in supermarket for £20:00…! Food a bit expensive but good quality. VIP good value and good view, toilets clean, bar not as well stocked as other bars there. Great acts, couldn't always here what they were saying but singing and music clear and loud enough. Great venue, lots of space.

The venue would be nice if it wasn't for the rubble covered floor that blew up a dust cloud every time the wind blew! By the time we got home our hair, our clothes and everything we took with us was grey and crusty. Pretty grim really.
The music was akin to a mediocre karaoke night. Most of the bands were flat and out of tune. Don't get me wrong I'm no Simon Cowell or Adele - but please...these were not even close! They were fun to sing along with and yes we had a good time, but as for lookalikes...you cant just put on a black suit and tie and call yourself a Beatle!
The prices were very expensive. £11 for a burger? £6 for a can of Thatchers? £9 for a vodka and c**e? Nothing like cashing in on a captive market!
The amount of people that had left before the last band said it all really.
Nice day out catching up with mates. Would I go again NOPE!
