Over the past couple of years I've seen quite a few big US hip hop acts. Public enemy, Wu Tang, Talib Kwali, de la soul. To be fair I've left every concert a little disappointed. They've been ok but I wasn't blown away.

Last night I saw KRS 1 from Boogie Down Productions in Exeter and without doubt the best live emcee I've seen. He was amazing - real hip hop and a powerful voice. When he rapped to classical music with no beats it was one of the best things I've ever heard.

Top night with the Potts and Dom. Whoop whoop that's the sound of the beef!

KRS did not disappoint, played a lot of the old classics and some new material too. Great atmosphere, shame about the bar though it's been terrible for years...half hour wait for a beer!
