Review of Linton Music Festival
Really good and well organised festival, variety of bands ( for me Friday night was amazing ) the organisers did say camping was basic, I think this could have been better, but I would recommend you give it a visit especially if your a real ale fan, the choice was the best I've seen at a festival. Will definitely
be going again

Review of Linton Music Festival
5th year runing and usually gets 5/5 across the board. This year 'music' only scored 4/5 as they didn't have any of our favourite bands playing headline. ' Venue' got 4/5 due to the heavy rain which I think they could have handled better, splitting and spreading more straw bails around the site, and putting down more mats. Seemed more concerned with conditions backstage, even allowing bands' cars to park on only area of un-mudded grass (under trees). Fortunately never saw anybody seriously hurt, dispite the mix of booze and mud. More than recommend it - love it !

Review of Linton Music Festival
Headline act was weak and not up to usual standards. Disappointing.
Other acts good mix and high quality.
Stick to good musicians and don't get swayed by just acts/household names.

First time for Jill & myself , wanted to see King King having seen twice before supporting Thunder.
Drove down from Nottingham late pm and found site easily even though access to car park down narrow lane.
Alma Pub open at 5.30pm and sat in garden with drink soaking up the sun. Gates opened on time and got good seats near front.
As driving unable to enjoy the beer festival but food was excellent and good value..The Stumble great, the Combo ok and King King rocked .
Dark walk back to car park but no problem driving away.. next year will return and camp.

My first ever music festival(at the age of 50!), and I don't think I could have picked a better one. Music was fantastic, not one bad artist, my favorite was probably Vintage Trouble, but, Eric Bell, Bernie Marsden, Larry Miller were great, best surprise was Chantel McGregor; fantastic.
It was great trying all the different ales, food very good and not over priced, special mention to the local stall selling homemade cakes etc; £2.50 for coffee and cake - brilliant.
Organisation, second to none, from the shower cubicles in the camping field (with hot water) to the man who came on site every morning and set up the breakfast tent.
The venue in a beautiful setting; a natural "ampitheatre". giving a great view of the stage to all.
The weather: wet, windy, muddy, but those who were there, didn't care.
See you next year.

Wet and wonderful............
First time for us and we will be back and we will be telling folks about this fabulous little festival.
Campsite is basic but with portaloos and showers. Bottled water is available at no cost for reasonable usage; waste points available but as it's just a weekend we took our rubbish home. The views were glorious. Security was provided throught the day and night.
It was about a 10/15 minute walk to The Alma along a well signposted route.
The festival itself is held behind The Alma in it's very natural amphitheatre with a prrpose built staging. As the weather was lousy the organisers had provided loads of marquee cover; safe to walk on pathways through paths that became muddier as the weekend wore on. The pathways were continually covered with straw to soak up some of the mud etc
As well as being a Blues festival it was also a beer festival with around 40 different real ales on offer; supplied by very knowledgable bar staff. Food was available from 3 outlets providing a range of offerings from cakes; snacks; hot and cold meals and all at reasonable rates.
15 bands over the 3 days kept everyone entertained despite the weather. Had that been on everyones side this would have been an exceptional weekend.
No doubt everyone will have their particular favourites; mine were....Vintage Trouble and Larry Miller.
See you next year.

Linton Blues Festival
Parking could have been better but that was to do with the weather and the persistant rain all day, having said that a great venue, brilliant bunch of performers (or is that a band not bunch?) and well presented, hosted and co-ordinated event. Perhaps a minor gripe in that Westons Cider who promoted the event could have supplied a good choice of their products for the event rather than a single one, but as i say, it was minor thing.
Looking forward to next years one already after bieng well entertained by artists such as Chantel Mcgregor, King King, Red river Band etc. Good sound, well thought out plans for the sea of mud that was always going to present itself in that rain and just so friendly.
