Review of Lovebox 2019
This was the first time me and my partner came to lovebox and had paid for the two day tickets (Friday & Saturday) as there were artists on both days we wanted to see. We were mostly disappointed at how early the stages finished both days! We were really shocked as on our tickets the times were till 11pm. Just didn’t feel like the price we paid was really worth the long travel and expense. We won’t be returning next year unfortunately.

Review of Citadel 2018
The production value of the musical aspect of the festival was easily the best part. There was also a decent selection of sets and the timings were spread conveniently (at least for me).
My main complaint was that the water taps were a massive let-down. There weren't enough around, especially for the middle of summer. They were also really bad, with some having little-to-no pressure, while others splashing everywhere. These factors combined meant that there was too much queuing just to refill bottles, while at other festivals I haven't had these sorts of problems. It would make the experience much better if I didn't risk dehydration while trying to have fun at the festival.
The venue, which itself wasn't bad, was very far to get to given that it wasn't in or near central London. Some sort of express bus to get the attendees from the festival to central London (maybe Victoria?) would have been a good alternative to the current model which was herding us from the park to the tube station. Given that most of the attendees would try to get the tube anyway it would mean that the festival relies entirely on the fact that the tube has no problems. This is compounded by the fact that the festival was on a Sunday, and so there was no night tube and loads of people (thousands) who were queuing to get the tube for about an hour were just told that they had to make some other way home - thanks.

Review of Lovebox 2018
I come to Lovebox every year, but this year at the new venue really let me down. The headline act Childish Gambino was the main reason a lot of people bought tickets, yet unless you were at the front it was impossible to hear what he was singing. We could only see him and feel a bass, literally couldn't hear a thing! The sound was awful and really ruined the experience for a lot of people.
We were charged £7.00 for wristbands when paying for our tickets online, yet no one was given a wristband. So what was that £7.00 for, on top of the extortionate booking fee?
Exiting the festival on the Saturday night was a joke. Thousands of people were herded like cattle for over an hour to leave the festival. It was claustrophobic and inhumane. Absolutely appalling organisation. We left the festival at half 10 and didn't reach the tube station until gone midnight, meaning we missed the last tube and had to fork out £100 for a taxi. Outrageous!
I've always been a big fan of Lovebox festival, but the ending of this one left a real sour taste in my mouth, and I'm not sure I will be attending again, which is sad. I hope you guys get more organised next year, as that was dangerous.
