Review of Deadset Dream @ Cafe Totem
Idle Ross opened the show, and they were great. Good sounds and pretty cool style. Led By Lanterns followed up with a superb acoustic set which, believe it or not, got everyone dancing. Their new song, "Smoke Screen" sounded beautiful.
Then venue is very intimate and was at full capacity as Deadset Dream opened with "Blah" which is an absolute "tuuuune!"
The crowd were pumped. Frontman Shannon Lingwood got the already slightly sweaty crowd bouncing! We all stank but nobody cared! The lads played every song on point! Extra credit goes to the drummer, Conner Burridge for nailing it in what was now an absolute sweatbox of a room. The whole band seriously put their all into their performance and it paid off. This is definitely a band I can see filling arenas in the not too distant future.
