Awful on this occasion. Yes weather was bad but I could easily have had fun in the rain. However, opened 1.5hrs late and then only a couple of bands on main stage the whole day.
No one let us know when acts were cancelled, or very late and then all called off for the evening. It was obvious as soon as we arrived that this should have been cancelled and rearranged.
We couldn't get close to main stage as they had to have it fenced off due to the ground flooding.
They should have admitted they could not provide the music.

We arrived at the venue but it never stopped raining. No bands came on stage after 3 1/2 hours so we left like most people did
We kept getting announcements it was to wet on stage , bands be on soon .. the crowds were Booing. We made the effort. Why couldn’t they .. like my husband said can sit at home playing CDs .. beer cheaper in hotels £6. For one can beer ridiculous. Chips £5 .. where do they get the prices from .. sorry we didn’t enjoy this experience at all . Had a better time in the hotel and bars , and it was dry snd entertaining. I know we can’t control the weather. But I think you should have postponed for today .. bet a lot of people would returned today .. because bet the bands still got paid .. for doing nothing. ..

Really should of been cancelled .. event wasn’t prepared for the rain .. late starting , no new information was given about the acts that pulled out or the new line up etc .. left stood around for two hours not knowing what was going on , and nobody to ask … refunds should be given

Absolutely shocking! Whilst no one can help the weather, this event should have been cancelled or postponed. It was a complete wash out - started late, finished early, no VIP despite paying extra for tickets, not all line up turned up. Did not get what we paid for and deserve a refund for the 4 tickets bought. Can’t even find a way to seek some form of refund. Will be looking to see what else can be done about this as should at least be refunded the difference between VIP ( non existent) and standard ticket which security said was what to do, but how? ……….

I would like to tell you about my disappointment for your event yesterday Sunday 23/7/23 at Victoria Park Southport for the Lookalike festival.

Simply, it should have been cancelled.

From the delay in entry, to the end was very poorly organised.

I came with my partner and 2 children and we invited friends from out of the area with their 2 children. It was simply embarrassing.

Whilst in the queue, there was an abundance of rubbish, cans, bottles, food, vomit and much more along the pavement and road whilst waiting to gain entry. There was no bins to be seen.

The lack of toilets on entry meant that most people went behind the toilets or in front.
There were no obvious signs of where other toilets were, and we did find more near the main stage but very few at the beginning where needed when people first arrive.

The amount of areas that were unavailable due to flooding of rain was too many, it was impossible to see the acts on stage or feel any sense of an outdoor gig.

The acts were delayed, presumably due to delay in opening.

The lack of tents for people to cover from the rain was not acceptable. If an event is going ahead in such poor weather conditions, then this should have been accounted for.

There was absolutely no enjoyment in this event whatsoever, we stayed for approx 1 hour, as it was just too pointless, this event was a complete washout and shouldn’t have been continued.

We would like compensation of our money back at the very least.

I would not recommend a skiddle event to anyone again, as this level of organisation was very poor.

As most people who attended this event, despite the rain. It should have been cancelled. Not because of the weather but because more than half the acts advertised didn't bother showing up! and it was too dangerous on stage for the one/two that did!!!!!! Lots of food vans closed, security abysmal in fact the whole day was a rip off !!! If another event turned out like this you would get a refund. Even though there was a delay in opening (nearly 2 hours) we spent the rest of the day hanging around the field in the pouring rain waiting for something to happen but - it never did!!! and then it had to finish early anyway !!! Trying to contact somebody to get a refund but that is proving impossible too. Has anybody had any luck with this? Does anybody know where to contact because I have tried. I will never attend an event like this again. The stupid thing is, I don't live far from Victoria park and I could have heard it all from my house. Just wanted to support the occasion. Total rip off and no customer respect !!!

Given the atrocious condition of the park and with further rain forecast for the rest of the day this event shouldn't have gone ahead. No consideration given to the ticket holders many I'm sure will have travelled from afar, how was delaying opening the gate until 1.30 was going to serve any purpose?

Diabolical. Security didn’t even bother to search me or my things.
70% of the venue under water, cordoned off and inaccessible. Food stalls either closed or ran out of food. Delayed entrance times, missing multiple acts in the process. Hardly any acts turned up, and the ones that did were running hours behind schedule, and then got stopped mid way through due to water being on the stage. vip area was non existent, entire site caked in rubbish from the night before, even though there had been 15.5 hours inbetween events to clean up. Toilets were an absolute disgrace. Poor management, barely any tannoy announcements keeping us to date with what was happened, instead we were left to stand around in the torrential rain waiting for music. The rain wasn’t an issue as we were prepared for it. However the event clearly wasn’t and should have cancelled it, instead of the absolute s**t show that it was.

Drinks over price . Should have cancel from beginning was cancelled at about 5.30 ish only saw one band but was too far away to see much . Also open hour and a half late . Refunds should be given on this occasion.

Awful. You can't control the weather but the field was underwater and most of the acts never made it on to the stage. Should clearly have been cancelled and they clearly only didn't do so to try and get of giving refunds.

Waited outside on rain for the opening to be delayed by 1 1/2 hours. Was too wet to be safe! Bands cancelled! Should have been cancelled due to health and safety! Credit tickets for next year’s event! Or refund! Had children with us so was not safe on site!

We had vip tickets was told wene we got there there was no vip, it was flooded in front of main stage wouldn't let us get near it then it was cancelled half way through, wish it wasn't raining but we made the best of it, it should of been cancelled wene we got there because of the floods we we still enjoyed dancing in the rain but didn't like the music in the tent

Organiser did not respond to messages requesting disability access info/support ahead of the event. The terrible state of the flooded site on the day meant we could not access the event (wheelchair user). No information available on how to claim a refund for an event which should really have been cancelled owing to yellow weather warnings for rain.

Sorry this event should have been cancelled. Refunds should be issued. Yes weather cannot be helped but it can be prepared for. No acts playing, large q to get in could not get near stage, no updates from organising apart from opening late email.

Should've been cancelled due to the weather conditions leading to extremely limited accessibility and limiting the acts actually able to perform. Performances cancelled due to safety. Paid a premium for VIP which was not available. Event should have been cancelled. Requesting a full refund as what was advertised and paid for was not delivered at all.

What a joke that this event went ahead. Completely waterlogged, very unsafe and no acts came on in nearly 2 hours. It should of been cancelled or postponed. I would like a full refund for my 4 tickets as I didn't get what I payed for.

Should have been cancelled. Venue was flooded and full of rubbish from the previous days event. The main stage was fenced off approx. 100m away!. VIP area was closed. Delayed entry while staff tried to make the venue safe. They did not succeed! Some acts started before anyone could get in. Main stage was closed, on safety grounds, when only 3 acts had played. We were 100m away behind the fence so didn't make a difference!
Big Top was obvious too small to fit everyone in.
The event was a total SHAMBLES and waste of money. Full refunds should be made!
