It wasn't clear what the difference between the tickets was. On the website it mentioned I had access to the Tool room. No idea what the tool room was as I couldn't find it on the website. I don't understand why there was a "prof room", what is the point of it?

The music was too loud when you wanted to listen to the panel.

Bought a pro pass which even after a 30% discount came in at over 70 pounds as opposed to an Academy Ticket that I could have got for a tenner and I really can't see what the additional sixty quid bought me! Organisation on the first morning was poor and I was not given a "goody" bag on checking in and I found out later the reason was because they hadn't ordered enough and were therefore only giving them to people that asked for them!! The only "extra" that the pro pass offered appeared to be admission to the "pro" theatre for talks that were mostly dull and padded out with waffle (especially the Beatport one), and admission to the Toolroom Academy on Friday that was excellent but I could have bought a separate ticket for that for 15 pounds! Still overall I enjoyed the experience and will probably be back next year but just won't be buying a pro pass again!!

This was my second visit to the BMC. First one was a year ago. I think this year edition had less topics. There were also less displays form the gear/software companies. However I came mostly for the topics. I found them very interesting and motivating. I would like to come back in 2017.

Excellent event. Friendly staff. Great panels and exhibition hall. Good value for money. Only downside was bar price (£2 for a small plastic cup of C**e) but that's par for the course I guess.

The exhibition area seemed very small, though with some good stands. There were several exhibitors who you wondered why on earth they were there in the first place. There definitely wasn't enough to warrant being there all day. The talk i did go to (the Sound On Sound presentation at 11.00 on thursday) was barely audible due to the sound eminating from the exhibition area behind. I regularly go to broadcast TV exhibitions and the entry is generally free and not a two tier system for who gets to go to certain seminars which is a shame, it would also encourage you to go on both days. The event is very dance music orientated, both in terms of equipment exhibitors and the seminars, which i think is also a bit limiting. It was my first time visiting and as a composer for TV and other media i didn't really learn anything new or felt there was any networking opportunities.

Excellent conference. Keeping a human scale while comprehensive.
(Just one point which really needs to get improved: the registration desk was totally understaffed, which led to a one hour long queue to get in)
I already bought my ticket for 2016 as it's really worth it.
