Review of Oktoberfest Hemel Hempstead
I would definitely attend this event again as felt is was great fun. The event and atmosphere was awesome! The Oompa band was the hit of the night, they really engaged with the people and had a good mix of local and German/Bavarian music. The DJ at the event was a little lacking as he didn't really know how to interact with the spectators and the music he played the entire night was throwbacks to the 70's and 80's. It was really expensive, especially the food. The food was lacking and not authentic at all, not even one authentic option. Bratwurst that you can buy at your local Aldi is not authentic German or Bavarian. £6.50 for a Bratwurst and £3.50 for a small bowl of fries is a littel over the top.

Review of Oktoberfest Hemel Hempstead
Awful event compared to the previous one in 2017. Set up was way more basic than previous year and gloriously understaffed which meant that I spent about an hour queuing for beers in a 5 hour event. The beer machine also broke which didn’t help things.
After being so good last year I was incredibly disappointed.

Review of Oktoberfest Hemel Hempstead
A really fun afternoon with great entertainment and friendly atmosphere. Good value for me as I got free tickets but thought it would have been expensive at full price as there are no drinks included in the ticket price.

Bar was a joke 45min wait for a beer and they kept running out.
Last year was loads better. No one in my group would be going again. Massive letdown.

Review of Oktoberfest Hemel Hempstead
Pretty poor event really. A shame as the nuts and bolts were there but the organisers failed to grasp that people expect to be able to get a beer at an Oktoberfest bash. No table service and 40+ mins queues at the bar. 4 hours, 3 beers. Started to get a bit of aggro towards the end as punters were upset. Oh, and the food offering was a sausage grill and a pork bun van. The organisers should be ashamed of using the Oktoberfest name. oom-pah band were good but did their 2nd set after the bar had closed, which was weird.

Review of Oktoberfest Hemel Hempstead
Compared to last year: less food options, less beer, less fun. They closed the bar an hour early as they could no longer supply beer. It was taking 30 minutes to get a drink so by the time they warned of the early closure, if you weren’t in the queue then you’d already had you’re last drink! Bit of a shambles.

Review of Oktoberfest Hemel Hempstead
Went to the same event in previous years and it was fantastic! This year it fell way short of the mark! The queues for the bar were absolutely absurd, literally spent an hour in the queue if you wanted a drink. Needed multiple bars at different ends of the tent to at least help disperse the crowd a bit.
The drinks were pretty poor, ordered gin and tonic for my wife and was give a lemonade with next to no gin in it... Not cool when it costs a fiver for a drink.
Beer wasnt great, could see they were having problems with the refill machine as the bar staff were getting frustrated .
Refunds on the steins, while a good concept it didnt work. Bought 8 drinks in steins (forty pound in 'deposits'), at the end of the evening when i go to get my money back they ask where my raffle ticket is... Which i was never given.... So then had to try and argue the toss to get my money back as someone wasnt doing their job properly... Pretty poor. Think i will give it a miss next year!

Not as good as last year.... bar a lot smaller & not managed as well ... didn't have to que last year for sure.. prices a rip off £29 for a bottle of rose wine (grrrr)... bar staff seamed not to have a clue on who was next in line or on prices etc etc , missed the oompah band for waiting so long (great) .... lay out of seats was cramped.... couldnt stand & enjoy for being knocked by passer bys & the reserved seating had rope matting last year too not mud grass , in the end left early doors .... be thinking twice if it's on next year.... shame as our group really enjoyed it last year. ...
