Review of Geekabilia: Lincoln 2017
Loads of people, like events that are on a Saturday. Went in costume had a lot of possative coments and photos taken. A better layout this year, looked like there were more traders.

Really had a great time at Geekabillia, the atmosphere was great, good selection of stalls, great celebrity guests, good value for money signings, my only couple of gripes would be still no cash point there which would be handy and who thought of situating the food area next to the stage? it wasn't that great as struggled to hear some of the q and a sessions with people talking next to it in the dining area, perhaps the sound system needs adjusting? but they are just minor gripes, all in all great value for money and had such a fun day.

Felt there could of been more to do and see, also have to donate to have pictures taken with film and tv replicas, but was well impressed with the quality of people in costumes attention to detail was excellent and there willingness to pose for pictures was great.
But all in all I would go again but only in the afternoon when they do the best costume parade.doesn't warrant an all day visit in my opinion.
Review of Geekabilia: Lincoln 2017
This is my third year going to the Geekabilia event... First year it was done in a showroom... I don't think they even realised themselves how popular it was going to be and it did suffer a lot of overcrowding, but still a good event.... The second year it was held at a much larger venue, which was much better for the volume of people, but lacked a bit of atmosphere, plus the seating for the cafe was in the totally wrong place.... This year.... fantastic; in fact the only 2 things I found wrong was 1st. Not being able to hear the talks very well, as when the guests tried to talk, it mingled in with all the other things going on, maybe segregating the talks a bit better in the future... and 2nd Was one miserable woman on the staff who made you feel a bit like you had invaded her day ... But saying that, there were so many things right about it and all the staff (bar one) were fantastic. The guest were also fantastic... Loved the exotic animals too... Maybe look at doing a Hogwarts animal display next year ;)... I especially loved the greenscreen photo's with guests as standard and the presentation of them was also a nice touch, plus Autographs and Photoshoots were at a reasonable price.
I also loved the fact that you actually won something really decent on the Cosplay competition, rather than tickets for next year, which a lot of conventions tend to do.... All in all, Geekabilia has certainly gone in the right direction and given Lincoln a great family day out... The only thing that baffles me, is how they did it all for just six quid each?

Very good size venue. Was on a warm day and not sure if they don't have aircon or it wasn't turned up but it started to get quite warm as it filled up. PA system kicked out a bit of feedback but other than that very good venue and event with plenty of quality traders, guests and a very well attended Cosplay competition.

Entrance fee was very good and there was so many interesting stalls with really nice staff, only down falls were that there wasn't really anywhere comfortable to sit and the food prices were eye watering
